"A Little Breathing Room"

On October 16, 2006 I received fantastic news! My CT scan of my kidney's showed no change, from those taken in April, 06'. My Urologist said to keep-up w/ the drinking of copious amt.'s of H2o & eat a lot of citrus fruits; which is a no brainier for me given, I love oranges & grapefruit.

But the most exciting news for me was my dramatic weight loss. When I moved to Portland in March of 2004, I tipped the scales at 252 lbs. When they weighed me last week, the scale read 166 lbs. The last time I weighed under 200 lbs. I was in grade school. At 6'4" & 166 lbs., my goal is to loss an additional 15-20 lbs.

I'm certain now I'll be able to finish my book by Christmas. Wish me luck!.......Mark

FINALLY AT LAST!

At long last I've turned the corner, heading for the home stretch w/ my books manuscript!

After almost 3 years of blood, sweat & few tears the tiny pieces are beginning to fall in place.
I'm not sure if I'll make it or not; but my goal is to pretty much put to bed my manuscript, by Monday 16, 2006.

That's the day I'm scheduled to go to OHSU for another CT scan of my kidneys. I'll know then whether or not I'll have to go for more surgical lithotripsy, to break-up more kidney stones.

Each surgery makes it more difficult for me to recover from due to my weakened immune system caused by my MS.
