Today I had a great visit with my great friend & fellow firefighter; Downtown Roy Brown! All the years, that I was confined to a bed; in an Adult Foster Home, in Medford, OR; Roy was the only fellow firefighter friend, who ever called or came to visit me. Roy made a point of at least once a month of having a take-out lunch; with me, that I always insisted on paying for. Their were at least 2 Christmas's that he did all my shopping for me. His very talented wife, Virginia designed & printed personalized Christmas cards for me to give to my family & friends.
A greater & truly sincere friend; is not to be had. Just as all his fellow firefighters knew; that when fighting fires or just being there when he was needed; they could always count on RB being there. If the circumstances were reversed I would do the same for him & more, in an instant! I cherish his Friendship & miss him dearly!......Nothing else needs to be said, Mark
Made some headway on my book research; by developing several new leads. The pace should pick-up considerately, in the next few weeks.......Only time will tell....Mark
Yesterday I had to cancel my apptmt w/ Dr. Conlin. The apptmt. is moved back to Mon.. 6/20/05 @ 10:00 am for CT scan & then to see Dr. Conlin @ 11:45 am.
I'm concerned, about extending the duration; but it couldn't be helped.
I'll leave it to God's divine mercy; to bail me out, the way he's done countless times, my entire lifetime.
If your so inclined; I could use your prayers......Mark
