Weiser Rural FD history.

I spent most of today writing an email to past Weiser Rural FD Fire Chief, Darwin Adams; requesting historical data. I'll use the info Darwin researches for my book. Once again I'll make another try tomorrow to actually start formatting my books coverpage & beyond......That's all for today, Mark

"Progress Report On My Book"

This being Good Friday; the day of Jesus Christ's crucifixion & death; out of respect & devotion, on this most Holy Day, I'll be brief.

I made some good progress this past week on getting started with my research for my book. This upcoming week, I intend to start assimilating my data & putting the proverbial ink on the paper.

I hope all of my family & friends, have a nice & Blessed Easter Holiday!....Mark

"Mark embarks on a new journey, into the distant past"

For the past 2 weeks, I've began researching bits & pieces of my 25+ yr. Fire Service career; in an attempt to fill in the blanks of my feeble memory banks.

Over the past few yrs., I've been approached by several people; encouraging me to write a book. Well after all this pushing & prodding; I've decided to give in & write a book of memoirs, encompassing my experiences as a firefighter. After all, I've got lot's of idle time on my hand. (No that's not a typo; I don't count my left hand; because it's been rendered useless for several yrs., thanks to my MS.)
I now can type with my right middle finger only. For me, as such writing a book is quite a laborious undertaking; as one might image.

One of two things is going to result from my book writing project.
(1) It's going to be a very short book; or (2) It will be a book of greater length; which takes several yrs. & goes unfinished, if I succumb to the effects of my MS!

My sincere hope & intention, is my book reaches a happy medium; somewhere in between.

Please feel free to visit my Blog periodically to monitor my progress.....Mark
